Really had a bad day yesterday and it carried over to today! Ginger, our 15 lb. miniature café latte was jumping to get up on the recliner with Wayne. She slipped and ruptured her left back (ACL) Anterior cruciate ligament. Two years ago next month, she did the same thing to her right one. So she has to have surgery. She is such a good patient, but it breaks my heart to see her have to go through the 10 weeks of rehabilitation. No jumping, no running, no going up and down stairs, no playing ball, no sniffing crotches! (Maybe I lied about that part). Ha! I have to call my vet surgeon in Tampa on Monday and schedule the surgery. Shell have to stay overnight for 2 nights. Poor baby! But then shell be all better. My local vet says she is in really good health and could live until shes 18+. Wish us luck and a few prayers wont hurt either. Shes part of our family pack!
