Relief Center/Donations- Tornado affected property owners may contact FEMA Disaster Assistance either on line at disasterassistance.gov, by phone at 1-800-621-3362 or register with the Red Cross Center set-up at Jenks-Simmons. However, no FEMA assistance will be made available unless the area is declared as a disaster area by FEMA. Representatives of FEMA have been in the area conducting an assessment since June 3rd, 2013. However, there will be no FEMA Disaster Assistance personnel in the area unless the area is declared by FEMA as a disaster area. A donation center has been set up at Jenks Simmons Field House, 214 N. Country Club Rd. The hours of operation will be as follows: Friday, June 7th 9am-7pm, Saturday, June 8th 9am-6pm, Sunday, June 9th 9am-7pm (After 1pm, traffic will need to take Foreman, Sunset will be closed due to the events at Small Town Weekend.) Monday, June 10th and on will be 9am-7pm. Due to the overwhelming generosity of others we are no longer accepting donations but will reevaluate on Monday, June 10th. Items available at Jenks Simmons include: baby clothing, diapers, food, toiletries, cleaning supplies, water, Gatorade, trash bags, shovels, 5 gallon buckets, gloves, pet food, etc. Other donation centers include Bible Baptist Church and the Sheppard’s House in El Reno. Monetary donations for storm cleanup can be taken to the City of El Reno Municipal Building, 101 N. Choctaw, El Reno, OK 73036. Checks can be made to the City of El Reno. Limbs and Trash- The City of El Reno will be picking up limbs as time allows but please be aware that this will be a slow process. Please do not call addresses in. Please have all limbs brought to the curb and separate from trash. Citizens are also welcome to haul their limbs to the southwest corner of Country Club and Foreman. THE DROPOFF LOCATION WILL BE CLOSED SATURDAY AND SUNDAY JUNE 8TH AND 9TH. Please do not drop limbs off when a city employee is not present because we need to know your address. June 1-14th is the quarterly bulk collection service for OEMA. El Reno residents are allowed one free dump at the landfill during this time. If you have no means to transport to the landfill contact OEMA for more information. You must bring an ID and a copy of your water bill when dumping. Also, OEMA said you are always allowed to have up to 5 bags of trash next to your poly cart each week for curbside pickup. No personal dumpsters will be emptied.
