Remembering 9-11-01 and not forgetting unanswered questions about Benghazi. Benghazi Is Bigger Than Watergate Posted on November 13, 2012 by admin The Canada Free Press published an investigative report today in which “well-vetted sources” were quoted as saying that the cover-up of what happened in Benghazi on 11 September 2012 “is exponentially bigger than anything we’ve seen in Watergate and the Iran-Contra Affair combined.” They went on to say that “The American people are being lied to at every turn.” The administration’s tactic has been to put off telling the truth until after the election. However, it appears that the strategy will remain the same post-election in hopes that the American public and the media will just eventually forget about it. Apparently, our administration seems to think much like Colonel Nathan R. Jessup, USMC did in the blockbuster movie, A Few Good Men, when he barked, “The truth? You want to know the truth? You can’t handle the truth!” Well, Washington, we can handle the truth. Now, please, tell us what it is. Probably the most important thing we need to do is to build a credible timeline. That is difficult to do, because the timelines of the Pentagon and the CIA do not match. We have constructed a timeline according to the most reliable information we have. All times are Eastern Daylight Time. Benghazi is six hours ahead of EDT. Items on the timeline are designated CIA, P1 (Pentagon, 11/01/12), P2 (Pentagon 11/09/12), F (Fox News) and L (leaked document). September 11 3:40 pm: Shots are heard. First call for help received. (CIA) 3:42 pm: The American consulate is under attack. (P2) 3:59 pm: An unarmed surveillance drone is sent to fly over Benghazi. (P1) 4:04 pm: A local rescue squad is dispatched to the consulate. Local CIA requests help from Libyan militia. (P1) 4:05 pm: First email received in White House Situation Room saying consulate is under attack. (L) 4:10 pm: The rescue team is stopped by Libyan roadblocks. (P1) 4:20 pm: The rescue team reaches the consulate compound. (P1) 4:32 pm: The National Military Command Center (NMCC) in Washington receives official word of the attack. (P2) 4:35 pm: The rescue team recaptures the consulate. (P1) 5:00 pm: Leon Panetta and General Martin Dempsey meet with President Obama and discuss how to respond. This was a previously scheduled meeting. (P2) 5:11 pm: A drone arrives over the consulate. (P1) All events are now available to President Obama via live feed. (P2) 5:15 pm: The first car with consulate staff leaves for the Annex, but under fire. (P1) 5:30 pm: All remaining American personnel leave the consulate under fire. (P1, P2) 5:54 pm: A second email from the State Department to the Situation Room reports that the firing at the consulate has ceased. (L) 6:00 pm: The Annex comes under attack. (F) Panetta, Dempsey, and others meet at Pentagon to discuss options. 7:00 pm: The Annex is under heavy RPG and machine gun fire. Several more calls for help are sent. (F) 7:15 pm: Five CIA officers land in Benghazi. (CIA, P2) 8:00 pm: Panetta gives verbal orders for Marines from Rota, Spain to deploy to Tripoli and Benghazi. (P2) 8:53 pm: Formal written orders are issued from the NMCC to deploy Special Forces from Croatia and the US. (P2) 11:04 pm: The team from Tripoli arrives at the Annex. (P1) 11:15 pm: The Annex comes under mortar attack. An anti-terrorist team is in the air over Libya in a C-17. (P1, P2) 11:25 pm: Former SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods are killed by mortar fire on the roof of the Annex. 11:26 pm: The attack on the Annex stops. (CIA) 12:00 am: The Libyan militia arrives at the Annex to take the Americans to the airport. (P1) September 12 2:30 am: KIA are all accounted for. (F) 1:17 pm: Last survivors leave Tripoli. (F) 1:57 pm: Special Forces team from Croatia arrives at Sigonella Naval Air Base in Sicily. (F) 2:56 pm: Marines arrive from Tripoli to secure the consulate (F) The reality of what happened in Benghazi and in Washington, D.C. that night is important to Israel, even though it may not at first appear that way on the surface. It’s important because Israel needs to know whether or not it can trust the current administration to have their back as our closest ally in the Middle East. This incident is revealing. Prime Minister Netanyahu has already said on several occasions that Israel needs to be prepared to go it alone. They have a real good idea about whom they can trust. The bottom line is that Israel’s hope needs to be in the LORD God Almighty, Jehovah-jireh. He is their real Defender. He alone is their Protector and Guide. Please pray with us for the peace of Jerusalem and that the LORD will show Himself Mighty, Powerful, and Decisive.
