Republicans are already taking advantage of their right wing - TopicsExpress

Republicans are already taking advantage of their right wing friends on the SCOTUS increased attacks on long-standing aggregate campaign contribution limits. During McCutcheon arguments, the right wing oligarchs puppets on the court were warned that corrosive-to-democracy political honey pots would be one of the many repercussions of overturning long standing caps on campaign bribes... er... I mean, contributions. ...the justices were presented with the hypothetical situation of a supercommittee linking hundreds of candidates together to allow a donor to write a check in excess of $1 million. The Court has previously ruled that lawmakers should not be allowed to so Alito said it was wild hypothetical that the rich would anonymously pool their money and buy politicians, and Chief Justice John Roberts dismissed such concerns in his opinion for the majority, even though a record already exists of the Romney Victory committee shifting funds between state party committees that had already received maximum contributions from donors. Seems the right wingers on the Supreme Court cant ever make the mental leap to imagine the world of corruption their policies deliberately let off the leash... Reminiscent of the time Samuel Alito mouthed not true when President Barack Obama warned of the damage right wingers had done with their Citizens United ruling during the State of the Union address - a warning that has since proven to be warranted (tinyurl/l9lddwl). The only world right wingers dare to envision is one in which the working class are voiceless, impotent, hosts from which Republican benefactors can mercilessly exploit, suck profit from and discard... while Republican benefactors disappear behind the walls of their gated communities to laugh at how easy it was to turn The Land of the Free into The United States of Serfs and Lords.
