Robin Williams was a friend that everyone had, allowed you to sit down to watch one of his acts, listen, and forget your issues and just enjoy a short moment with someone who understood and didnt want you to leave without a smile and a short laugh. He was an emotional pit stop for some, his movies acted as such and will continue to. So many scenes could be used to outline how he made people feel for years and years, and everyone has their favourite. It was at any moment where you had tough shit to get through, thick shit to get through - anything you needed time off from. He was able to allow you to forget those moments, and thats why its such a shame to have to learn and understand that that kind of person is gone, regardless of how they left, as it leaves you with a sense of... aloof loss; he wasnt known personally by everyone, and yet everyone personally took into their lives a part of his roles and moments and carried them in their thoughts. To me, I dont think of him as passed since Ive never personally met him, Ive only watched his movies and stand up routines. So for that hes still very much alive - immortal in his acts. I dont normally care to comment on the death of anyone I didnt know personally such as a celebrity because I dont feel I have the place, but I grew up with Robin Williams movies and stand up routines and they will continue to be things I enjoy watching and listening to. Just my thoughts, figured they were significant enough to share. I wont think back to Robin Williams as one who is passed away, though I will think of him as a Genie, a DJ in Vietnam, a doctor, a man on a journey in What Dreams May Come, father of Flubber, a robot who just wanted to be acknowledged, a grown man returning to Neverland, a psychologist in Good Will Hunting, Mrs. Doubtfire, an English teacher who taught his students to seize the day, Osric, as well as someone who would get up on stage and not fail to make laughter. He was someone to everyone.
