Rose Parade 2015: Floats continue to wow, inspire viewers in post-parade display PASADENA >> Their fifteen minutes of fame are not quite over. By Friday, tens of thousands of people had flocked to see the floats that rode down Colorado Boulevard in the 126th Rose Parade on New Year’s Day up close in all their floral splendor. “It’s such a different experience seeing all the different flowers up close,“ said Carrieanna Hess, who watched the parade in person. “You have a different appreciation for the hard work that goes into the floats.” The 32-year-old from the Sacramento area said the entire parade experience has been wonderful and she had no trouble despite being in a wheelchair. “I was surprised to learn every single material used for the floats has to be natural,” she said.. The post-parade viewing, sponsored by Miracle Gro, concludes Saturday, along Sierra Madre and Washington boulevards. Many animated floats are brought to life throughout the day. The Tournament of Roses Association had an estimated 70,000 people view the floats in 2014 and expect to surpass that this year because of the extra day of viewing. “On the parade, you see the float for 20 seconds.
