SAP Retail Solution Architect - Permanent or Contract / Cape Town / close 31 July 2014. Required experience: 7-10 years within the IT industry 5-10 years in the SAP environment with at least 5 project life cycles 5 years within the Retail industry and a clear understanding of the industry - preffered 5+ years - Comprehensive understanding of various SAP integration methods (ALE/IDOC, enterprise services, MFT, PI) 5+ years experience working on projects across multiple applications SAP and non-SAP 5+ years comprehensive knowledge, understanding and experience with all aspects of IT projects from business analysis, architectures, systems analysis and design through development, testing, implementation and production support 5+ years - excellent design and architecture skills and proven track record delivering well designed complex enterprise class systems 3+ years - excellent technical development and be able to mentor others to improve their design and development skills 5+ years - demonstrated expertise in a variety of application development methodologies and practices 5+ years - experience developing and architecting object orientated applications using multiple programming languages and paradigms 3 years - leading a team through an architectural development process and collaborate with application development teams, architects and their software development teams 3 years - experience with current research and standards in Solution Architecture 3+ years - experience in high volume data and files processing, in a batch and real time, integration environment 3 years - project management experience of mid-sized projects Qualifications: Degree in Information Systems/BSc Computer Science or similar - essential Essential skills and related knowledge: Architecture and solution design (UML, OO, SOA etc) Software development frameworks and methodologies (RUP, Agile, Scrum, TOGAF, etc) Solid track record in successful delivery in the solution architecture discipline Strong analytical, problem solving and logical skills Excellent team-work and inter-personal skills Development of proposals and excellent written communication and presentation skills Excellent organizational and facilitation skills Strong conflict management skills Understanding of SAP Retail applications :- SAP retail - Desirable MIM - Desirable SAP PMR - Desirable SAP planning for Retail - Desirable SAP POS DM - Desirable Only candidates who meet with the minimum requirements as detailed above, and who reside in or are willing to relocate to the Western Cape will be considered for this position.
