SCARY---Just got off the phone with 9-1-1....I had to be transferred 3 times from Riverside, to KCMO and then finally to Platte County dispatcher!!! Good thing I didnt have a life threatening issue. Two men were pounding on my door. I did not answer at first because I thought it was kids playing....when I finally got up to answer, I realized they were at the other front door but had just got back in the vehicle. They were driving a brown pick-up with a Time warner Cable sticker on the side....After calling Time Warner I found out my instinct was correct and it was NOT TWC technicians (of course because I never called for service and they didnt send anyone out)....They are going to send someone to patrol the area to try and find the truck and I hope they find them....that it is scary. I told my kids they are not allowed to answer the door anymore and I am glad they were busy playing and didnt try to like they usually do. So my warning to you all---DO NOT answer your door unless you are expecting someone. Question--If I get a home phone, would it automatically call the correct 9-1-1 department?? I think my cell did what it is supposed to since it is a cell and just called the closest department, but I need a phone that calls the correct one the first time.
