SENIOR IT ENGINEER Responsibilities Manage, operate and guide a your IT team. Provide network, servers and software support for our outsourced accounts. Candidate should be available for both on-hours and off-hours support. Provide onsite and remote systems administration, setup, configuration and maintenance. Responsible for maintaining our accounts hardware architecture and inventory, including procurement and specifications. Responsible for repairing servers, both internally and via vendor support Handle our ticketing system & our accounts incidents with regards of the agreed SLA. Ensure all accounts stability, maintain the log sheets & the documentation per requirements. Conduct weekly visits for most of our accounts. Manage our accounts through the shared calendar & resource allocation. Skills & Experience Experience with Windows 2003 and Windows 2008/2008 R2 required. Experienced with Active directory & domain environment. 3+ years’ experience building and maintaining Windows servers required. Ability to provide architecture, set best practices and provide highly available solutions requiring minimal maintenance Experience with ITIL best practices preferred Must be detailed-oriented Must have strong organizational skills Must comprehend and perform job duties without a lot of direction; self-starter/self-motivator Must have very strong communication skills, both verbal and written Must have strong and solid understanding of network and system troubleshooting skills Strong documentation skills including experience with diagramming network environments and creating instructional documentation for users’ systems Able to lead internal projects with little oversight from the Hosting Services Management Must be proficient in evaluating, configuring, and troubleshooting new technology (hardware and software platforms) to successful conclusion within Connecture’s business and technology model. Able to work independently and adjust to changing priorities. Responds strongly and positively to challenging work and deadlines and is able to work in fast paced, dynamic and team oriented environment. Familiar with Open Source technologies & Linux based OS / Appliances. IT Certificates MCSE - Preferred ITIL Foundation - Preferred MCSA - Optional CCNA - Optional Education / Experience Computer Science or Engineering graduate. Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience.
