SHE ASKED FOR FIFTY DOLLARS She asked for $50.00. How can she be like this? Why? This one woman. Overwhelmed by the burden and sorrow of ALS. So thankful. So gracious. So sincere. So humble. So selfless. NOVEMBER 15 It may not seem like much, but $50 would make a big difference, and allow me to get the turkey & some sides. We havent had to get any finacial assistance before, but last month &this month our outgoing $ didnt leave anything. Next month will be better as my sister is now on hospice & we wont have the $547 cobra insurance to pay & can catch up everything. NOVEMBER 15 Oh my, you truly are Angels! Im sorry took long to reply, my sister has had a very bad few days, shes had fever & pain, hospice has been so good & finally have pain under control this afternoon. We are both exhausted & now I open this email, Im in tears, thank you so Very Much! NOVEMBER 19 There are no words.. To give thanks for your generousity. Since we started this journey, weve met so many wonderful families. I know has a plan for us all. My sister told me she could never do the job of caregiving that she has received, yet I know I could never have the courage she had to face each day with this mean disease & still have a smile & words of love , her faith has never waivered. I dont know how you came to begin this organization, but I feel sure lots of families & lives have been touched. My sister has moved to another stage as her breathing is deteriotrd & hourly morphine to curb her air hunger. With this donation, all my attention is focused on her & her care, the finances which I struggled have taken a back seat. We are so very thankful. * Shell be overwhelmed when she sees the check we are sending her.
