SINS OF THE BORGIAS / LUCRECE BORGIA (1953) starring Martine Carol, Pedro Armendariz and Massimo Serato gets a new French-language-only DVD release in France today. There are already US and British subtitled DVDs available which both run 94 minutes, plus an old French release at 120 minutes - BUT, if the Amazon page is to be believed, this new release is a 200 minute print. If this is correct this would mean this new release runs more than an hour longer than any previous releases and its listed IMDb run time. Since 2-part historical epics were in vogue in France at this time I wouldnt be surprised if this is indeed correct - does anyone know any more about the history of this film?
