STORYNORY CLUB IDEA Heres another idea Ive been mulling over Would people pay so they could upload their own stories? Supposing we had a Storynory Club, and membership would allow kids to upload their own written stories onto our site? And pictures? As an incentive, we would pick one story a month and read it out. We would charge for membership, for the following reasons: We need the money It would be a lot of work to implement and oversee We need verifiable permission of parents, and payment by CC is acceptable proof of parents id. We would have to be ever so careful that there were no bad words, or worse still predatory messages or bullying hidden away in the stories. 99% would be okay, but what if one bad one slips through? Reading though kids stories is hard work. They dont always make a lot of sense at first glance, and they can do your head in. I think kids would like to see their own stories on Storynory, and it would excite them if there was a chance of the story being read out. We will run a free writing competition soon to get a taste of what we would be letting ourselves in for. Would people pay to be Storynory members and do this? Would children like it? If so , what could we charge? What do people think of the risks we would we undertaking? Thoughts please
