Salem – Theresa Newton, 43, passed away tragically on August 31, 2013. Theresa was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina to Gene and Sandra (Zarich) Wells, the oldest of 2 children. She later moved to Florida, where her family settled outside the Tampa area, near St. Petersburg and Land O’ Lakes. Theresa married and traveled with her first husband to various locations, as he was in the military. Together she raised their children across the United States and in Italy. Theresa moved to Oregon in 2005 and settled in the Salem area. She worked for Oak Hill Apartments in Salem. She met and married her loving husband, Jerame Newton. She loved his family and remained close to them in Oregon. Theresa enjoyed crocheting, knitting, scrapbooking and anything associated with crafts. She loved to read and enjoyed hunting, especially with her father and brother in earlier years. Theresa is preceded in death by her daughter, Becca, who passed away in 2000, and her mother, Sandra, who passed away just earlier this year. She is survived by, her husband, Jerame Newton; children, James, Tiffany, Roy, Samantha, and Ryan; one grandchild; father, Gene; brother, William Wells; several many uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family. Private family services will take place. Arrangements by Unger Funeral Chapel, Silverton.
