Same thing happened here although we got the cat for Kaylen. He was against it all the way unless it was a black cat. So we called every pet store in the city....but no black cats, but we did find a black & white one in a little suburb of the city. They only had it because their neighbors had a kitten left they couldnt get rid of it so they put in their pet store as a favor to them. When we got to the store she was sitting in the bottom of a bird cage they were keeping her in. They got her out so we could see her & she started hopping all over the store probably happy to be able to stretch her legs. Kaylen & I snatched her up & headed back to the apartment we lived in at the time. She ran around the apartment for the first few hours she was there & constantly tried to climb up my legs whenever I moved around like she was afraid of being left alone. Funny thing is the person she was most fond of or drawn to was the one who didnt want a cat to begin with. She made big Daddy her person once they met. She became an outside cat once we moved from the apartment & went outside no matter what the weather was like. If she wouldnt come home when Kaylen or I called for her we just had to get her Daddy to call her because that always brought Sanka running home.
