September 11, 2001 was slated to be my first time doing weather on a weekday at WBKO. I was getting micd up to anchor a cut-in during ABCs Good Morning America when Charles Gibson broke in with news that a plane had struck one of the World Trade towers. That, of course, was just the start of a terrible, tragic day for this nation. My weekday weather debut would have to wait, as my primary duties shifted to updating hundreds of cancellations and prayer services on the station website and crawl system. What a day. I will never forget. WE will never forget.
