Shalom! I suppose that one of the challenges of adapting to 21st Century social and technological advances is to stir clear of formalities and dainty ambience. To try to avoid appearing like the Faith that is sophisticated on delivering professionally polished sermons and in the process losing the battle on the empirical adequacy paradigm. I try to answer the Question: Am I simply appearing idealistically sophisticated or does my talk or conversation retain the experiential relevance of the people I live with? Do many people any more believe that the Word of God really works in the lives of people in the 21st Century? Or do we simply believe these things because believing the Word of God is the in-thing in the Christian Fraternity? How much of my personal progress can be traced to my faith in and application of the Word of God in my personal life? These are the kinds of issues we will try to grapple with in the year 2015. The Apostle Paul wrote: If our Hope in Christ is good for this life only and no more, then we deserve more pity than anyone else in all the world; 1 Corinthians 15:19, TEV. In other words, it makes little sense and no point to believe for its own sake. But until people who claim to put the Word of God into practice, practically show that these things work in real and everyday life, not just during Church services, MAY BE WE DESERVE MORE PITY THAN ANYONE ELSE IN ALL THE WORLD, after all! Tant mieux! Shalom!
