Shared via Captain Paul Watson Japans Blocking of Dolphin Guardians Will Not Stop Opposition Japan has been blocking Sea Shepherd Cove Guardians claiming they did not provide the reason for their entry into Japan. However in the past stating that the intention to defend dolphins at Taiji, Japan was the reason for refusal to enter the country. So its a Catch 22. State that your intention is to go to Taiji to document the slaughter of dolphins and entry is refused. State that you are entering Japan for tourism if you are a Cove Guardian veteran is the latest excuse to deny entry. The good news is that the numbers of concerned people worldwide will continue to provide Cove Guardians. Hundreds of people have participated as Cove Guardians and hundreds more will continue to participate. Japan can ban an organization but they cant ban a movement. The approach is the strategy based on The Way of Water. Flow freely, flow through the cracks and around the obstacles. Water may be obstructed but it will find a way to overrun all obstacles. Sea Shepherd has always known that opposition to Japanese policies on whaling, dolphin slaughter and illegal fishing would never be easy. They are entrenched institutions surviving on massive subsidies and patronage backed by corruption and stubborn nationalistic policies. Sea Shepherds objective is to constantly monitor and document the horrific slaughter of dolphins and to make sure that this obscenity is never forgotten and will always be before the eyes of the world, through film, live streaming and reporting. No dolphin will die or be captured unobserved. The Japanese officials are frustrated that Sea Shepherd activists are not breaking laws and providing them with the excuse they need to ban the Cove Guardians. Their latest strategy is to not allow returning Cove Guardians to enter Japan. Sea Shepherd has been opposing the slaughter of dolphins at Taiji since 2003 and has taken the lead in championing this cause globally. The mission is called Operation Infinite Patience and this underscores Sea Shepherds total commitment to ending the slaughter and enslavement of dolphins by Japan.
