Sharing this in memory of my dad, Austin Junior Blake, who made a living in the coal mines. Very hard work and very little pay back then. Times when mom and dad would say they werent hungry so we three girls would have more to eat. Very tough times back then. Daddy finally got out of the mines when 3 local men and friends of his were killed together underground. One of those men was Tims grandpa, Benny McDonald. I have much respect for all those that still go down under to make a living.
