Shoaib Akhtar easily one of the most fastest bowlers ever to have played this game of cricket. Shoaib at his peak was absolute carnage for the batsmen. In late 90s and early mid 2000 he was the best site of a fast bowler this game has ever produced. He had a long run-up, lethal pace, rage, aggression, you name it and he had it. Akhtar never had the luxury of bowling in greentops and never had an awesome fielding unit. Brett lee was equally fast but I have never seen Lee trouble the likes of SRT,Lara,Kallis,Sehwag,Dravid,KP, etc.Akhtar on the other hand has dominated the top batsmen of his generation. Who can forget his two magical deliveries against Tendulkar and Dravid at Eden Gardens in 1999 where the whole crowd was turned into a pin drop silence. He won so many games for Pakistan with his individual performance. and Half of his career he played on dustbowls. Akthar could crack open any batting lineup in the world at his peak. His 1999 world cup performance, where he was unplayable and tested the likes of steve waugh, nathan astle, gary kiristen, darren lehman etc.The 2005 home series against England where he bowled his heart out on some of the flattest wickets of Pakistan and made every England batsmen uncomfortable with his ferocious deliveries. He was the leading wicket taker of that series and that England team was on a roar which was undefeated from last six series.
