#ShootAcid is an initiative by Stop Acid Attacks to check if the regulation on acid sale is being implemented. This is what one of our followers had to say after watching the CJ video done by SAA campaigners (Do watch the video and spread the word) Beverly Blakemore: Heres what I think. Ive never heard of acid replacing any type of disinfectant. I know it cleans tiles and brickwork here in the US. I can only imagine what it does to bacteria, however. The general public and the merchants all have to learn to see acid and its potential uses differently. The whole act was very nonchalant, which leads me to think that this particular scenario is fairly routine for buyer and seller both. Toilet cleaner. among other things, looks too expensive for some people to buy. So, reduce the prices of routine things that people replace with acid; then, increase the price of burning acids to exorbitant levels for individual sale. Governments can do that, they mess with our lives every day for their own purposes. Very disturbing, besides the ease with which acid was purchased, is that its in an unidentified and unlabeled bottle. All destructive acids should be packaged differently with warning labels and safety caps sealing it. Ordinary vendors should also have the same laws regarding purchasing acids wholesale for resale. People must see commercial, special interest, or government advertising on TV, billboards, at school, and at work, till they dream about it at night to get the message out that there is a law about this. Then, the police must and prosecutors must be held accountable for enforcing the law. Look, if people can be shamed into not smoking, not littering, or even not crapping in the street, then they can also be shamed into not buying acid for anything other than cleaning the brickwork. https://youtube/watch?v=ziUOER05opY
