Showers and thunderstorms are numerous across north Texas, each - TopicsExpress

Showers and thunderstorms are numerous across north Texas, each moving rapidly to the NE at 55 mph. And we are now seeing a solid line forming out to our west which will enter the western Metroplex after 11 PM. All storms should clear ALL of the Metroplex by 4 AM. Moderate to occasionally brief heavy rain will accompany the storms. There is also the possibility of small hail, but that is the only ice we have in the forecast tonight as temperatures will stay well above freezing throughout the remainder of this precipitation event. Saturday will start off cloudy, but sunshine returns in the afternoon as we top out in the lower 50s. But a strong cold front moves in Saturday night which will hold temperatures closer to 40 (if we are lucky) for Sunday afternoon in spite of full sunshine. Then a hard freeze will settle in across north Texas Monday morning as we dip into the upper teens to lower 20s. Boy, did we time this right! Can you imagine all this precip with temperatures near 20 degrees?!?!?!
