Significantly, the EC decided to give up its rule of three-year domicile with family at the place of posting to allow personnel from Army, Navy and IAF to cast their vote at the place of posting. .... For decades the rule was that our soldiers can vote only if they are living at place of posting along with their family.... But as per service rules, every soldier is transferred after 3 years to a new location....which means practically not a single soldier will ever get to vote. This is how our corrupt government makes multiple rules to take away the fundamental rights of the citizens. Only after a long legal fight, this cunning rule is temporarily withdrawn. Ponder over it if you are capable of thinking... you will realize why India is not a super power even after 6 decades of freedom.
