Situation here at Westgate Mall remained fragile as series of gun shots can be heard coming from the building. Earlier we heard series of twenty explosions, then minutes later dark smoke started billowing off the roof of the building. Cabinet Secretary Ole Lenku confirmed to us that they have successfully managed to rescue people who were held hostage by the terrorists. He also confirmed to us that the big smoke is coming from the Nakumatt Store set ablaze by the criminals to destruct the activities of the security officers. Gunshots are still on and members of the public are warn not to come nearer to the place. You are also adviced to clear Mpaka Road to easen movement of the security personnels and the rescue vehicles. As I write the smoke can still be seen coming out from the building as fire fighters takes position to put off the fire.
