So So close!!! Its been a hard slog this week, 2 van loads of wood, half a ton of steel, 10 boxes of screws, gallons of paint, lots of swearing and hours looking for where I left me pencil but we are nearly done! The art will be moved from upstairs onto the walls of the new gallery today. Many thanks to Paul and Mike from Brewers quay for allowing us a small overlap as this has let us keep the gallery open whilst building the new and thanks to Polly of Drifted and gifted and Paul of nightfall images for keeping an eye on it for us. Paul was a photographer displaying in the Art asylum but has been given an opportunity to do his own thing and has opened a great little space upstairs so we would like to wish him the best of luck and if you come to visit the Asylum pop up and give him a look. Big big thanks to the Albanese clan whos help has been invaluable and to Urchin whos ability make painting great art work look easy constantly irritates me and thanks to the Sturtivants whos friendship has the most important thing gained from the Asylum experience (see you soon mate x ). Anyway that was starting to sound like a bad oscars speech so back to the point, All being well by tonight I should be able to post pictures of your lovely art displayed in the lovely gallery it deserves.
