So its back in the early 1970s and Jimmy Roach Clip Kay buys this Schwinn Beach Cruiser for sheer peanuts in price at some garage sale. The Roach Clip starts on a Friday evening and by Sunday night he rebuilt everything rebuild able on it from new chain to replaced ball bearings to whatever else is fixable. He even paints it Jet black...using spray paint from a dollar store using 2-3 cans....He expressed it was a phenomenal conversation piece to meet girls. He utilized the Beach Cruiser to stay in shape for high school varsity wrestling. He rode that to save money on gas when he was a lifeguard at Tobay Beach...to just go over girls houses to say hi he rode it...that bike was sort of like an extension of his personality. Funny? Hey, while fellow wrestlers were starving themselves to make the weight class The Roach was already there and showed up on first day ready to do some serious winning during the season due to how the Cruiser kept him in amazing shape. Long live Schwinn Beach Cruisers...amazing machines.
