So since I graduated last May (Associate of Scient in Information Systems), things have been slow-going in a way, on that one level...but on different levels they have been really good...It is the thing about being single that balances out the isolation and loneliness; the journey of self-discovery is much lighter and at times feels like burdens of self-perception are lifted by divine intervention. I know so many examples of people that pair themselves with another based on a strong self-deception, and that pairing serves the primary purpose of reinforcing the deception, painful as it may or may not be, to increase a sense of personal comfort and security...a way of saying to ones inner self metaphorically, Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus because it is so unsettling to conceive of life without a Santa Claus. Anyway...Not that many people go through life unpaired, so I guess not that many people care what it feels like to be able to have lightbulb moments of self-discovery. I guess that is a classic example of the joys of self-discovery...it is kind of like having a thorn in your paw removed after an entire life of living with the pain, or irritation...however you want to call it. It is nice!
