So today i was told by an acquaintance (downgraded from friend today) that i should not play the victim role regarding my rape since i did not press charges after swallowing the urge to cuss this person out and fight them i just asked them to look at the statistics, but since i doubt this person will and in hopes that this will help others understand for every 100 rapists out there 40 will get reported to the police of those 40 reported 10 will lead to an arrest (not even half) of the 10 that are arrested 8 will be prosecuted, of the 8 that are prosecuted 4 will lead to a felony conviction and of those 4 only 3 will spend a single day in prison the other 97 will walk free... reporting something like that is hard enough as is, having to tell your story over and over, relive the details and be treated like you did something wrong... watch what you say to people especially when you dont know what your talking about
