So why is worship so important? Not only is it the declaration - TopicsExpress

So why is worship so important? Not only is it the declaration of our Lord AS Lord, which He is deserving of and scripture demands of us, BUT, cool things happen when we do.... Scripture identifies our mouth as a gate. We speak things into being, just like our Father. What we bind on earth is bound in Heaven, and what we loose on earth is loosed in Heaven, etc. etc. So our words have power. Not only that! But Lucifer was the chief angel of worship. That was his job. So when he fell, that left a gap in the order of things. Weve been placed in that gap. So what does all of this mean? (Besides just being evidence that we SHOULD worship.) Our worship sends shock waves into the Spiritual realm, like ripples in a pond. When we declare His name and lift Him up high as Lord with out mouths, any other power or principality in the room then begins to LOSE power. When we sing There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain, chains begin to break in the spiritual. When we sing I lift your name, Higher and higher, all other names are lowered. Worship is verbally assigning God the worth that He deserves, but it ALSO lessens us. Like John the Baptist said, He must increase, and I must decrease. BUT We have to worship in Spirit and in Truth. Worship with meaning. Worship with your whole heart, however you do it. And watch your atmosphere begin to change.
