Some are wondering about the Tribute to Scott Allen program this morning. Those clips came from the first time the Sonshiners visited my program in 1998. Heres a little bit about that program, I wrote for a Sonshiner Newsletter..... The very first time they were on the hill to visit me, was back in 1998, and Wes Smith, former manager and baritone for the group, could only stay for about a half hour, and he had to get to church. Well, after his departure, we explained why Wes, was no longer in studio. Well, it seems our tower needed painted and he was painting it “Sonshiner Blue”, we had him changing the light etc... Well, unbeknownst to the group, Ol Wes was listening on his way to church! I think I had more comments about that program, than any other. By the way, that program is on CD, and one of my treasured programs, of all times !
