Some thoughts..... Expressing dissenting opinions and differing world views is not harassment as claimed by some. What is harassment is attempting to silence another opinion by harassing people at their place of employment, whether public, or private. The only one responsible for a post made on Facebook is the one who posted it. I welcome dissent and anyone who does not violate the law, or is not obscene, is welcome here as far as Im concerned. I dont silence lawfully expressed opinions whether I agree with them, or not. Satire is satire, but some fail to recognize it. Placing the word deputy or officer in front of the name of someone not posting under that title is nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt at silencing that opinion, or series of opinions. In essence the writer is stating, I know where you work and Im gonna cause you trouble if you disagree with me. It is cowardly. For too long cops have remained silent as a culture of cop hatred has been growing as expressed by at least one poster on this page. No longer as this has created an atmosphere that it is OK to injure, maim and murder cops. Not only is it OK, it an acceptable means of protest. I dont not claim to speak for any law enforcement agency or group and never have unless I spoke as a duly elected leader of an area police group. I speak only for myself.
