Someone posted this on a page I am on and I wanted to share ... The Songs we ought to listen to as Christians..- A personal experience by Akorfa Glover So this little white girl sat by me as I lay on the bed with my eyes towards the ceiling. She touched my arm softly and asked, Why dont you listen to any song apart from christian songs. Look at this singer.. she pointed to a man on a CD cover..he sings inspirational songs too. No evil words in them And then I thought, well she is right, some of these inspirational songs mean no harm. They are not gospel but they inspire and make a lot of sense! But then I saw two white bowls in the sky, one had apparently been smeared with feaces but the feaces was wiped out with tissue to make the bowl look clean though it still smelled of feaces. The other bowl was 100% clean. Then clean water was poured into both bowls and I heard a voice offer me water from the bowl that had been smeared with feaces and wiped clean. But then I refused to drink it. I wanted the water in the other bowl. And then the voice said, its clean water, why wont you drink it? I wouldnt drink feaces. Though it doesnt show, its still there - I thought. The bowl is dirty - I said. The voice didnt speak again, but I understood right away! The water was clean but the bowl wasnt. You see the song is inspirational, as clean as the water, but the vessel, the bowl, isnt! And as the water pours out of that bowl, it carries some part of the dirt in the bowl along. It carries with it its own influence, spirit, force, power,...whatever you will call it. And so I asked, what of the fact that Christian singers sin too? And I saw that the other bowl too gets dirty sometimes, but it was always washed before being filled with clean water. Washed with the blood of JESUS! And it always became sparkling clean. I woke up from this dream with a burning question answered and proceeded to clear the inspirational songs from my playlist. What songs are you listening to? From which vessels did they pour forth?? Think about it.
