Something Ive been thinking about a lot: Maybe the reason our expectations fall short so often is because pure, raw love is very hard to find. And Im not just speaking in romantic situations either. Love seems to always have conditions. We love, but not too much. We love, but get annoyed when that love gets difficult. We have roles we expect one another to play. Friendships, partners, family members. We constantly limit our love without even realizing it. Youve changed. You used to do this. I wish you did this more. I miss when it was like this. Why are we so focused on loving with boundaries? I can understand it. Its human. We get jealous, upset, confused. Finding something totally, 100% unconditional is difficult. Ive wondered if it even exists, to be honest. Ive had relationships unravel because that love was absolutely conditional. Ill love you if youre this. If youre this person. You do this. You be this. I love these parts. Not these When I love someone, I love with everything. I love every piece. Do I always like those pieces? Oh hell nahhh. But the times Ive really felt something Id considered unconditional, I accepted that love wholeheartedly. I think when you love someone for their soul, its a lot easier to work through changes. Goals change. Even personalities can kind of change. But souls? Call me an ooey-gooey bullshit poet, but I think souls stay the same forever. -- anyways, enough rambling. have a good week yaaaallllll
