Sometimes my kids say things that really touches my soul and lets me know that along the way Ive done my job as a mother....when I close my eyes at night I see every mistake I ever made along the way with my babies .. The years roll by just like a movie and I am there again...Maybe, I spanked too hard...yelled too loud or denied too much! Could I have spent more time with one or the other?? Listened with both ears while the other ear is always on the alert for the needs of a different sibling??? Im sure I could have given more but I cannot tell you how many times my babies ( ages 26, 21, 18 and 7 and lets not forget my 6 year old gabby) have let me know that I have done well with them!!!! Tonight, it was my Nick Farmer that shocked and filled my heart with overflowing pride...my Nicky told me that all mothers should be half a good of Mom as me or something to that effect..No, my kids didnt come with a manual and Im not Ms perfect, but my kids all know the sacrifices that I have made for them and they know that I would give my life for them!!! The secret to parenting is not all that secret!! I have made those sacrifices and have the willingness to give my life for them because I learned from my father!! My Heavenly Father..its that simple...He first loved me so that I am able to love others and my kids are now and always have been at the top of the list and thats what my kids respect....thank you Jesus for showing me the way so that I can help my children learn to be like you!
