Sorry to be so negative but it bothers me that management at Caseys Convenient Store makes their employees ask you for money to donate to the cause they are supporting. Im not saying the cause is not worthy I just dont think they should ask their customers for donations and then give it to their cause as if they donated the money themselves. The other reason it bothers me most is because of the guilt trip it gives me(and others) when there is people around me and I dont want to give them a dollar but I do it anyways because I feel like a bad and insensitive guy if I dont. This morning there was a girl that I would say was approximately around 12 years old. She bought a donut and a drink and her total was 3.12. I watched put her hand in her purse and pull out all her cash which was $4, then the cashier asked her would you like to donate your change. I could see it was all that she had and she really didnt want to give it but she looked over at me felt guilty, put her head down and said yes. God says to give with a cheerful heart. Thats not a cheerful giver thats a guilt ridden giver. To me thats no different in that than a person panhandling out on the corner when they have the ability to work. I believe they should stop asking and just leave the jar out for those who are pursuaded by God and their heart to give.
