SASMEF grows daily because we are remain the ONE voice for SME, WE say there is only ONE agenda item and that is SME, And we operate as a social entrepreneur that values partnership. Our philosophy is : “SME’s are the expression of free initiative, social inclusion and citizenship. Along these lines SME directly and indirectly influences the life of entrepreneurs, associates, employees, suppliers, family members and the entire social chain. SME’s are the democracy of opportunities”. WE speak with SME, big business and government with equal vigor. We promote SME development with government and big business We promote Capacity building for SME and those who serve SDME WE collaborate on partnership platform with all stakeholders through a secretariat. South African Small and Medium Enterprises Federation has been validated by SME themselves, the Public sector, Academia, Big Business, and International stakeholders like the EU and BRICS That is why we are growing daily in support, we are sensitive to SME needs and we strive to make the economic environment SME friendly. Governance is via a board of directors, who freely give of their time and services over the past two years which, if valued notionally, is worth R2 million. SASMEF is truly a Social Enterprises which has been described by an academic as “Building an Economic Empowering Environment by being a Public Policy Partner”
