Southwest General’s Recycling Committee will observe National Earth Day with a special celebration on Tuesday, April 22, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., outside the hospital Cafeteria. In recognition of this national observance, we encourage community members to participate in one of the following activities: • Collection Drive—Southwest General is collecting the following items to be repurposed: cell phones, eyeglasses, corks and toiletry items for Medwish (regular and travel size). •Recycled Items Collection—such as paper, magazines, catalogs, phone books, and more. •Vendors on-site—Rain Barrels ‘N More, From the Blue Bag (cool glass), TreeHuggers Café, River Valley, Cleveland Metroparks, and more. Additionally, Waste Stream Management and River Valley will be on-site for continued recycling education. All donors will receive a raffle ticket for a special drawing for great prices.
