Spent the day with great friends and activists who will always have a special place in my heart for all that they do in the struggle and the good they put out into the world. I started the day marching with the Black Lives Matter contingency in the MLK commemorative march. This was a great way to start the day! Later this evening I went to a screening of the documentary Condemned, which is about death row inmate Keith LaMar who has spent the last 22 years in solitary confinement on death row for crimes he did not commit--powerful, heartbreaking and meaningful beyond words. Freedom takes on a whole new meaning when you think about spending that many years in those kinds of conditions, its unimaginable.
