Srinagar, July 01: All Parties Coordination Committee - TopicsExpress

Srinagar, July 01: All Parties Coordination Committee (APSCC) Monday held a meeting to condole the innocent killings at Markundal village of Bandipora. During the meeting Chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina said if Army officers could not restrain their men then there is no meaning of peaceful dialogue with Centre to continue peace process in J&K. “People of Valley always respected Army but such incidents defame the image of Army at all levels. On one side they build schools, send children on educational tours, conduct cricket tournaments but such incidents again make the common man feel that he is at receiving end. When it comes to bullet versus peace then bullet dominates the Kashmir issue,” Raina said in a statement. ASPCC demanded tough punishment in a particular time frame for the killers of Irfan Ahmad Ganai and Tahir Ahmad Laherwal of Bandipora. The government should immediately send its representative to New Delhi to meet Prime Minister and Defense Minister and demand constituting of Public Commission having special groups from all societies including forces so that they can have complete investigation in such incidents taking place since 1989 including the Kunan Poshpora mass rape case.
