Student from Lithuania Gitana Grudyte shares her experience about unforgettable week at Academic Summer camp in London – Cambridge Tutors College. Gitana is one of the winners of the TV quiz „Millennium Children of Lithuania“ and the prize was given her by Baltic Council together with partner from UK Academic Summer. The week I spent at the Cambridge Tutors College is one of the most memorable in a long time. Not only I got the chance to see the stunning city of London but also to meet wonderful people from all over the world and experience quite different teaching methods :) As an example I can mention Physics class where every lesson we did experiments to understand the topic better. Moreover, at all times I have to speak in English so my every day and academic vocabulary improved. Also, my essay writing skills became better which will be useful in future. Apart from studying, we got to travel to London every day. Our tutors get us accustomed to the local transport system which at first seemed confusing. We also visited a lot of landmarks like London Eye, Big Ben, Oxford Street and many others. I especially liked my host, Angela, who showed me Croydon and gave a chance to take a ride with traditional British taxi. She was extremely nice and offered to help me the next time I will come to UK. All in all, my trip was fantastic and it is really hard to express all good emotions I had in summer camp :)
