Super day in London today. We dodged and dealt with rain showers, but our trusty LSA jackets did the job! Our guides Trudy, Nigel, and Deborah are the best ever...so entertaining and engaging. A wealth of info, but yet funny and edgy. They are truly awesome! We saw so much of London from the financial district to government....embassies, famous hotels, exclusive residences, and tales of the royal family. We saw the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace and, finally, the Tower of London which includes the British Crowne Jewels (the diamond called the Star of Africa is over 500 carrots!). We then headed for our ride on the London Eye which is over 40 stories tall giving us an incredible view of all of London. Our day concluded with free time at Covent Garden and a walk to Picadily Circus...the Times Square of London. People there from all over the world. The diversity, energy, vibe, and history here is truly incredible. You really learn that we are just a small part of a global world. We are up early tomorrow for our ferry ride from the white cliffs of Dover to Calais and on to Paris! Better brush up on our French :-) no worries, everyone is safe and happy!
