THE DOXA DEVOTIONAL WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 26 THE THOUGHTS OF MEN ARE NOT THE THOUGHTS OF GOD Isaiah 55 :8 amp For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord. Today we shall look at this scripture from another perspective. By the Grace of God, this scripture has been explained but trust me when I say there is more to it. One of the biggest mistakes many believers make is to confuse the thoughts of men with Gods thoughts. As stated boldly, His thoughts are not our thoughts. This gets more serious when it has to do with what majority thinks about a particular thing. For instance, someone will take a decision based on the take of majority of people. Some believers think because a large number of people have spoken, God has spoken which is an error. The voice the people shouldnt be taken as the voice of God. Saul was to wait for Prophet Samuel at Gilgal for seven days before performing the Sacrifice, Samuel tarried and Saul paid attention to the trembling of his people and thought it wise to perform the sacrifice in the absence of Samuel which caused him a great deal. (See 1 Sam 13) Beloved, be ready to disappoint any man when God speaks. Its better to pay attention to what God thinks than what man thinks. The things of God are not based on democracy, it is a personal dealing with a personal God based on a revealed will. Let us be cautious!!
