THE EFF WELCOMES THE WESTERN CAPE HIGH COURT RULING AGAINST SABC BOARD CHAIRPERSON ELLEN TSHABALALA 12 November 2014 The Economic Freedom Fighters welcomes the Western Cape High Court ruling against SABC Board Chairperson, Ellen Tshabalala. Tshabalala had sought to undermine the parliamentary inquiry into the misrepresentation of her qualifications in her application for the position of chairperson of the SABC board. She had sought to undermine a parliamentary process by arguing that the inquiry is a disciplinary hearing and thus principles of natural justice must apply which would mean none of the MP who appointed her in the first place could constitute a panel to inquire on her qualifications. The court dismissed her application which means the parliament inquiry must continue. Tshabalala wanted to use the courts to delay justice and further cover up her lies after being given adequate time to respond to the basic question on proof of her qualifications. Tshabalala is trying to hold on to the SABC at all costs because she wants access to tender processes around DTT and Set-Top Boxes.
