THERE MUST BE A BREAKING, BEFORE THERES A BREAKTHROUGH I believe the final stages before any major breakthrough is humility. It may come in the form of forgiving someone who continues to offend you. Or, it may come as saying “sorry” to someone you offended; or forgiving those who have hurt you. Whatever the case is, when we humble ourselves God gives us the grace to bear up under any offense, hurt, pain, sin or difficulty. At times humility will make us feel like a fool. Nevertheless its necessary to feel like a fool especially when the heart is full of pride. The Bible says, The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility (Pro 15:33). Humility must precede honor! Before a building can go up, the foundation must first go down. The higher the building may be, the lower the foundation must go. The more the Lord uses us, the more humility we must possess. God will never exalt us to another level unless humility can accompany us into that next level. Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place (Ps 66:12).
