THEY CAME FROM SEATTLE, WA #6 Well I guess I had better put these guys up since legendary they surely are. For one thing alone in my book....pletely crushing real heavy metal for years. Metal heads like me werent expecting in the early 90s to be swept under the rug by the industry especially when we were about ready to stomp out the 80s glam rockers for good and take back our metal territory with a new and improved metal :) Metal music had to be born again in Europe to begin to even get a foot hold again after what Nirvana did back in the early 90s to the industry :( I guess if we want to point fingers we could blame it all on those girly glam metal bands in LA who made most of America sick of what metal had become and the people ready for something new like Nirvanas Seattle based alternative metal/rock. A shame though since some of metals best American bands like Sanctuary, Nevermore, Psychotic Waltz and on and on came out during that time but were lost to most Americans until 20 years later. Even huge legendary metal bands like Iron Maiden, Dio and so on were reduced to playing smaller and smaller venues. But dont get me wrong, alternative wasnt all bad. Some good bands came out of that genre too and of course Nirvana was definitely one of them.
