THINK ABOUT IT (Part Nine): Student loan debt is Economic Slavery, destroying the lives of our graduates and their families—and destroying our economy, too. This is the worst form of corruption, collusion between banks and big business—enabled by corrupt politicians who have sold a whole generation into slavery. How can a person ever pay $30,000 or more in debt, with interest increasing daily, with a minimum wage job—if he or she gets a job at all? The answer is, you cant! How can there be any jobs when people dont have money to spend? Thats why the jobs have been going away at the same time student loan debt is over $1 TRILLION and climbing! As governor of Florida I will attack this problem in three ways. First, my economic plan will create 1,000,000 good middle class jobs, at no cost to taxpayers, so graduates can get a decent job. Second, I will negotiate buyouts of student loans and reduce interest to 1.5% or less. Third, I will slash the cost of higher education so future generations are not trapped in student loan slavery.
