Theatre tots ltd and I BEST Education in China are recruiting now for teachers for yearlong contracts to teach Chinese children English. It’s in the context of an holistic early years programme at children’s centres and kindergartens in Beijing and other cities. Applicants must: •some experience teaching early years and/or KS1 children; •be a native English speaker •have an understanding of working abroad and/or in a different culture •have a desire to learn about a new culture including its language •be able to work well in a team •be able to work closely with people who may be working in a second language •be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment •have good communication skills – both verbal and written •be motivated to inspire and stimulate learning •be open minded and willing to accept a challenge •have qualifications equivalent to NVQ level 2 or above •be willing to commit to contract length of one year Key points: •an excellent opportunity to teach abroad without having to first gain qualified teacher status •varied teaching timetable working alongside Chinese teacher colleagues •full Theatre tots training prior to going out •flights, accommodation and expenses covered •Mandarin tuition covered.
