Telling someone theyre beautiful or handsome is always a welcomed compliment, but it can also lead a person to actually be MORE insecure about the way they look. For instance; when from a very young age a girl only hears youre so pretty as the message bestowed upon her by relatives, friends .etc it can lead her to think her worth & importance is based upon the way she looks, and the same thing can happen to guys. So before you pay a compliment to someone (especially a young person) about the way they look first think if theres a compliment about theyre intelligence or character that would actually be even more thoughtful, and in its uniqueness also probably better received :) ...Happy complimenting! :)
