Thank God for the Holy Spirit. Took myself out for late lunch - TopicsExpress

Thank God for the Holy Spirit. Took myself out for late lunch today and ended up indulging in a three course meal. Upon leaving the restaurant not too long ago I saw a homeless man sitting outside the station. I saw him shiver and then the cold wind penetrated my snood & leather jacket which had made me oblivious of the weather so far. He asked for change, I walked past. Then the Holy Spirit started to speak to me. But youve got change Michelle, you just cant be bothered to look. Are you in that much of a hurry? Then He began to remind me of the word of God & passions Hes laid in my heart that Ive let become somewhat dormant. Had to rush to a cash machine and get some money to the man. I didnt need a prophet to tell me this was the right thing to do - if Ive been blessed & can give why dont I? Do I now only want to give when its friends who can sing my praises for a while because theyre grateful? The state of my heart in comparison to the heart I need to obey His word & fulfil the visions Hea given me was exposed tonight by deeming that man invisible. Broken. Help me to remember I am your hands & feet Lord...I can speak all I want but my actions will show whats really in my heart. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ (Matthew 25:35-40 ESV)
