The Battle to recapture Guam in 1944 was rough. The U.S. invaded in two places, Agat and Asan. There were more than 8000 GIs killed and wounded. The Japanese had almost 4 years to prepare to resist this invasion, they used the Chamorro as slave laborers. Some were lost in American attacks. Asan point was well fortified, and it was quite a task to capture it. I explored the caves and gun positions and this video is a short version of the video I took.
