The Best Job Ever I havent posted much about my new job in DC - TopicsExpress

The Best Job Ever I havent posted much about my new job in DC and I have had a bunch of friends ask me a lot about it. So, I thought I would do that now. I have to say that this is by far, the best job I have ever had. I really enjoy what I do. The days fly by and I find myself wanting to work on our product all of the time. We are working on email. Not just to put out another email product, but to completely change email and fix what is broken. Some of our ideas have been taken by other companies, so I cant comment too much on what we have for the future, but I can say that I am really happy where we are going and where we are currently. The company is small. It is about 6 developers holed up in a small workplace in Bethesda just outside of DC. We have others working here on the business side of the company also. The owner of the company is Dave Baggett. This man works harder than anyone here at the company. He is pouring everything he has into this company and is probably the most brilliant person I have ever worked for. He came onto the scene a while back when he developed the game Crash Bandicoot for Sony Playstation. That game put him onto the map. He then went on to found a company named ITA software which he sold to Google in 2010 for 700 million. Yeah, 700 million. Here is an article put out today about it on Forbes: forbes/sites/quora/2013/10/29/what-is-it-like-to-sell-your-company-to-google/. The guy could be sitting on a beach somewhere relaxing, but he is here working harder than anyone everyday to change email. To make it a better experience for everyone. You can google his name and find out all sorts of other stuff about him. The guy is truly one of the nicest out there. My role here is one of the lead mobile developers working on bringing the desktop email client to the mobile phone. Hopefully soon when we launch on IOS and then Android I can tell everyone about it and you can try it out. I was developing software in my previous jobs, but it was never satisfying like this one is. I was bored before with what I was doing. This job is exciting and I really do love it. I know it wont last forever, but for now, I hope it never ends.
